Grapeflix is your site to sell, rent or stream your films as digital files. We are an open platform, not a distributor. Therefore, we don’t ask to acquire any rights to your content. Here is what we offer:

•    Online theaters  - With your theater at Grapeflix, your films are showcased in their own individual pages with your marketing material: stills, embedded trailers, press cuts, links to your website or MySpace page, awards, festival screening etc..Films can be played from their page at the price you choose as a stream or download (rent or purchase), or both. You decide. Each time you make a sale, typically 75-85% of the proceed goes to your account. You can withdraw funds from your account at any time once they have cleared. hide
  
  
•    Screening rooms (private online theater)
•    Protection of your films with DRM technology  - As a default, all your films playing on Grapeflix will be protected by Microsoft’s DRM encryption technology. Downloads and streams will be encrypted to prevent unauthorized duplication of your property. DRM technology is used by online download services to protect blockbusters and has received the widest acceptance in the industry as a reliable protection technology. hide
  
  
•    Surveys  - With a Grapeflix theater, it is easy to create a survey that viewers may take after watching your films. You may decide to compensate them as an additional incentive and credit their account automatically once they complete the survey. You may use this service as a complement/substitute for your pilots. hide
  
  
•    Auditable sales reports  - With Grapeflix, it’s easy to follow your account activity. You can easily see your sales on a daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly basis by theater or by film. Since we report the first two initials of the viewers, you can easily make sure that all sales are reported as they happen. Just purchase one of your films and check whether the sale’s amount /time are correctly reported. hide
  
  
•    Online tools to promote your films  - Premium Placement – You can easily place your content’s picture prominently on any page of Grapeflix. Just place a bid for that space and if accepted your picture will be placed there for one week.
  The Buzz-Booster© – With the buzz-booster, you can stream your films for free at no cost to you to the first 10, 100, or 1000 viewers. Your downloads can be sold for a fee at the same time. After the initial free streams, the film will be available for streaming at the price you selected. This is a great way to start the buzz about your film! hide
  
  
•    Shared advertising  - You can volunteer your film(s) to be associated with an advertiser’s pre-roll. When there is a match, your account will be credited with 50% of the advertising revenue each time the pre-roll will play before your film. hide

Registering and opening a theater at Grapeflix is free. There are no set-up fees or monthly fees. You get to keep about 90% of your sales.

•    Cost of encoding your films to a WMV format

  If you cannot send or upload your films in a WMV format, we will encode them for you. Just send us your material at the DVD shipping address below and we will take care of it.

  The regular price for encoding is $12 per hour per DVD. For example, if your DVD is 90 minute long, the encoding cost will be $18.

  Your theater is highly customizable. In any movie page, you can include the marketing material you want stills, embedded trailers, press cuts, links to your website or Myspace page, awards, festival screening etc... Plus, your pages connect to all your other films and theaters, so your visitors have exposure to all your films at a glance. You're also free to place you logos and any information you wish about your production or distribution company.

  In addition to your controlling the look of your theaters, you also control geographical distribution, pricing and you can freely turn off (and back on) any movie you like, at anytime, from your online account.

  When it comes to reporting, we offer detailed reports that lets you exactly what's going on.

  Anyway you look at it, Grapeflix lets you do as much as you would if you'd own your own website but without the associated cost.
